Dr. Drew Pierson is an accomplished neuroscientist with over 20 Years with Neurofeedback experience and has performed over 75,000 EEG’s. He is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, as well as a licensed and board-certified neurotherapist, and a decorated veteran, having served 6 years in the U.S. Navy. At 40 Years of Zen he is dedicated to the development of unique technologies and protocols designed around peak performance.
Holly Huber is our Neurotherapy Technician. She has been active in providing neurofeedback and biofeedback to various clients for 3 years. Her role as a clinical technician began at the Neurotherapy Center of Nebraska, where she assisted a vast spectrum of clientele in their healing processes. Neurofeedback originally brought Holly healing and radical transformation back into her true Self in 2012. Since then, she has immersed herself into neurofeedback, stimulation modalities, and consciousness training to activate life embodiment. Holly plans to illuminate the deep connections of consciousness through presence, wonder, and love. She loves playing with her dog Ringo, being outdoors, and reading fantasy novels.
Paula has a background in both neurofeedback/neuromodulation and eastern medicine. She has been providing neurofeedback services in clinical neurological settings since 2011 but has also worked with athletes, pilots, artists, and executives in order to boost peak performance. She graduated from Florida State University with a degree in psychology then went on to earn her Master of Acupuncture (M.Ac.) and Bachelor of Science in Health Science from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, FL. She is certified in Acupuncture Injection Therapy, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and studied Ayurveda during her yoga teacher training in 2014. She is passionate about diet and the lifestyle approach to improving overall wellness while maintaining harmony in body, mind, and spirit.
American Ninja Warrior. Entrepreneur. Special forces trained woodland creature and the father of two parkour apprentices. From the board room to the battlefield Travis has guided thousands from all walks of life to perform at their best in any environment. Drawing from a deep well of experience and education in psychology, remote medicine, Military Special Forces training, crisis counseling, and wilderness therapy, he specializes in developing resilience, optimal flow states, and connecting with the authentic self. Travis demonstrates strength with compassion.
Dr. Langdon, originally from Chicago, first fell in love with medicine through the lens of global health; witnessing doctors in Haiti bring hygiene and medicine to rural populations in the early 1990s. She continued this relief work in the Dominican Republic with Habitat for Humanity and Ukraine, visiting orphanages with a group of doctors to catalog conditions well below World Health Organization standards. Her undergraduate studies in Geography and French led her to pursue sociolinguistics with four-year residence in Europe. Upon her return, she worked in the Emergency Room for four years as an EMT, while completing her post-baccalaureate in pre-med.
Chef Karen Nelson is a graduate of the Seattle Culinary Academy, she’s worked at some of Seattle’s best restaurants and catering companies. She also worked as part of the instruction team at Farestart, a culinary program for adults re-entering the workforce in the Seattle area. Karen is currently the Executive Chef at 40 Years of Zen. When not chatting with clients in the kitchen at Zen, Karen can be found teaching classes around the Seattle area, learning more about nutrition and wellness, or volunteering her time with refugees and youth with disabilities looking to learn more about the food industry.
Megan Hardy is our Client Experience Manager. Though she does a lot of behind the scenes work at our facility, the best part of her job is greeting clients each morning with a welcoming smile and freshly brewed (decaf) coffee. Before 40 Years of Zen, Megan worked as a middle and high school math teacher. Her passion for education led her down a path of discovering best practices for social-emotional well-being. In her spare time she tutors students in the Seattle area enjoys hiking around the Pacific Northwest and explores her fascination of humanity through learning.
Cameron has been biohacking since his first cup of Bulletproof Coffee in 2013 and began exploring consciousness since his first meditation in 2012. That path led him to a deep exploration of how technology and consciousness can intersect, raising our awareness and supporting us in aligning with our highest selves. After experiencing the results of 40 Years of Zen as a participant, the results were so transformational that he made it his mission to bring the impact of this training to as many people as possible.
